BIRDS AND RABBITS>>>>

Afterwhich, a lady known as Liz came to give us a short presentation on certain company policies and procedures. We were then brought to our desks where we set up our laptops and everything. They got us stationery and helped us set up skype as well as a company email in order to communicate with them.
anyway, during our lunch break, the food served at the company canteen was good and cheap.

Queue!!!>>>>>

This much of food costs about Sing $2.50!!!

nothing much was to be done cause our supervisor had not returned and so, i was told to look through the current projects they are undertaking. I learnt that mall management was not as simple and there were sooooo many demographics involved. SRE was in-charge of getting the retailers in (i guess) and to do certain shop floor planning...

Day2...Shopping kills...TIME!

One thing i discovered today was that a large part of a Singaporean's life (especially women) comprise of shopping. Not only is it an effective time killer, it is also therapy...Retail therapy. We shopped and eat, shopped and eat, shopped and eat again. We went to eat breakfast with our host in the morning and he ordered a SPREAD! Look below...see the bowl with about 10 wantons? We had one each to finish!!!

Afterwhich, we went to the bank to get our transport card and this card enables us to take a cab, MRT or bus.

When we got hold of the card, we went SHOPPING!!!! ....at People's Park!

A Tram!!!

Buddies!!!!!

Eating/Slacking at Subway...!!!

Afterwhich, my cousin took me out for dinner and we went to a restaurant in Xiao Da (Shanghai's biggest mall) to eat dinner...The food was FANTASTIC!!! we barbequed their Shanghainese nian gao!!!

This marks the end of day 2...!!!!

Day1 in Shanghai...Settling in

I was very sad today. I won't be able to see my family for so long. It really was not easy to leave my comfort zone sia...but I can no longer stay where I am anymore. I believe Shanghai is a place of changes, where people grow and learn so i am here. The host were really kind to my frens and I. they are super hospitable and i settled in without a problem. really dun know wad to expect yet...but my room was certainly very cozy and we had fun during the night.

~so i'm living by faith and not by sight~
