The Golden Week -- Part 1>>>Hangzhou(3rd weekend)

Very long never blog liao...this time, i've got lots of things to show and more to say. The golden week has finally arrived after 7 days of continuous working non-stop...YES! Anyway, to cut the long story short, we managed to get train tickets to Hangzhou despite several hiccups and about 10 of us went...

Can you See the Crowd!>>>>>>
Briefing Time>>>>>Hongyi, calling me to come and listen instead of snapping away!
The Train>>>>>
We had first class seats>>>>
The 10 of us that went>>>>>First up, Sean>>>>
Xue Er and Yuko>>>>>
Poh Suan and Kenny>>>>>

Roseann And Pearleen>>>>>

Our Very own tour guide Hong yi>>>>>>>And Lastly, me and Siqian>>>>haiz, no one took picture for us so, we had to do it>>>>Although we had booked 4 hotel rooms b4 hand, we had no plans whatsoever and had no idea what to do or where to go. Nonetheless, the min we came out of the train station, we were greeted by a small tour agency and they offered to take us around for a day and help us book train tickets back to Shanghai for a rather good price. And so, we took them on...we checked into our hotel and rested b4 eating at 真功夫 and then going shopping in the evening.

BEDs>>>>>super hard>>>>>

Aircon does not work at all>>>>>Toilet>>>>>
The room maid>>>>>I mean room mate>>>>hahaha......Eating and Shopping, living the typical Singaporean lifestyle in a foreign land.>>>>>
Later that night, after we had finished shopping, we all gathered into one room to play 终极密码 and the loser, had to chose between truth or dare! haha...it was quite fun as we dug out each other's secrets! During the game, my big mouth suggested something rather stupid and I ended up being involved in a dare as well! haha...(for those of you curious to know, can ask me personally, but i wont blog about it...秘密!) we played for quite a while and by the time i slept, it was 4 am.

So you can see siqian sleeping on the bus on the way to Xihu (our first stop)>>>>>
I was super excited when i saw XiHu, West lake, it was indeed a splendid sight to behold and finally for the first time, I felt like I was in China. The pics below are insufficient in portraying what we had witnessed, so if you have time, go visit Xihu....

These pics were took the min we got there>>>>The only thing that spoiled it was the crowd!!!!...I mean, Xihu was a place where famous chinese poets got their inspiration, in the serenity of the surroundings, but the crowds just TOTALLY spoiled the 'ambience'! There is an appropriate chinese phrase that accurately describes the situation at that point in time... 人山人海!

We had to brush past everyone and we were inside this 'sea of people' for 1/2 hr>>>>>>

See the pink mouse? that is our tour group's flag>>>>>among the many other tour groups. We were actually queuing to get on a boat to go across Xihu, and we had 50 ppl in our tour group(including the 10 of us). And so, we finaly got on the boat, leaving so many others behind!

The lady in white is our tour guide>>> giving an explanation of the lake's history>>> When we had cruised one round around the lake and came back, we continued to explore the area and took some pictures.

Bridge>>>>>Siqian, Me and Pearleen>>>>

Acting Emo>>>>>>
We then left Xihu and headed for another place, I can't really remember what is the place called...>>>>and we took

The 10 of us, group pic>>>>>

4 of us retail kids, graduates of year 2009, batch no 2>>>>>>

Haha...anyway, we later visited another place (of which i aso dun remember what it is called). This place is known for its buddhism heritage(i think) and also, the chinese culture.A bit further inside, we we allowed access to this tunnel where even the ground was made of gold! and so, we had to wear plastic bags and pull it over our shoes so as not to dirty the floor>>>

The funny thing is...someone was wearing this plastic thingy at People's square Mrt station, (where there were lots of people )to prevent his shoes from getting wet and he was also in his formal wear that day!>>>>

Next up, we went to a silk factory>>>>>the lady there was doing a demonstration for us to help us identify the difference between real silk and fake silk. she even burned a small corner off the silk to prove her point!

And then, visit a tea plantation and drink tea!>>>>>>
That's about all i have to blog with regards to the hangzhou trip and this last pic I took was of the 9 of my frens, who have shared these special moments with me and made them memorable. Thanks guys!>>>>>

End of Hangzhou Trip>>>>>
